Snow in SoCal???

Image
So it snowed! And everyone in the valley is freaking out. So that was pretty crazy! We also went to the funeral of Sister Johnson in the ward.  She was amazing and lived an amazing life full if service to others. Sister Kerby and Sister Chidester are no longer with us. They will be missed for sure. Transfers came and Sister Newell was transferred. I will be here and meeting my new companion tomorrow who I will be training. Crazy! Hopefully I get the hang if this by tomorrow then :). Life is good. We saw lots of miracles and were able to start teaching Angel's sons! They are now wanting to be baptized! So we can definitely help them with that. I know that this Gospel blesses lives! It brings unity in the home and helps us know and recognize the purpose of life. I know that the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored by Christ himself through the prophet Joseph Smith and that we can know that by reading the Book of Mormon which is the physic...

Joseph got baptized!

Image
How has ya'lls week been? I hope it was as good as mine! If not that is fine. But this week was a good one. Joseph got baptized... again. And he was confirmed and received the priesthood all in 30 hours... So yeah it was a busy weekend for sure. Yesterday was crazy! We had meetings all morning then we had 2 people we are teaching come to church and some recent converts and all of Joseph's family. Let's just say there are two of us and there were a lot of people to talk to... So that is fun :) Yassin is doing great! And really wants to become a Christian, he recognizes the spirit and it is so fun to be teaching him! I have been studying the Bible lately and have the goal to finish it by the end of the year. The more I have read the Bible, I have noticed how much we need the Book of Mormon and how much it relates to the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon IS NOT a replacement! They work together to testify of Christ and give us His gospel. It's amazing! ...

More rain and more miracles

Image
This one was a week of miracles! That is for sure! We have been trying to get to know more members that no longer come to church and so we were looking at a list of members and decided to visit ones that aren't familiar. So we knocked on one and a woman answered saying that the member moved a long time ago but that she'd love to talk with us. She let us in and we are now teaching her and she is amazing! She is a very strong believer in Christ and wants to learn everything she can about Him. Also on Saturday night we received a text from someone asking if they could come to our church if they don't have Christian background, and we said OF COURSE! And gave him the info. He showed up to church on Sunday and had no idea what was going on but he said it felt good and he wants to learn more! He is from the middle east and said he is just becoming fluent in english. He has a strong desire though! He is amazing! The Lord truly does love all of His children. I l...

Cali is no longer in a drought!

Image
Heyo!  So this week has been raining, like pouring nonstop. So that has been fun. It has created some flash floods, rivers in the roads, and even some waterfalls off of roofs. Exciting right?? So rumor has it Cali is no longer in a drought, we will see how long that lasts. In the rain with our awkward smiles:) This week we taught a man who loves learning with us! And he committed to be baptized, so yay!!! He has been able to recognize the spirit as he has learned with us. He recognizes he has lots to learn, but it will all come over time. I hope you are all having a great week! And know that God is a loving Heavenly Father. He wants us all to reach out to Him and to get to know Him. So I invite you all to do that. We started teaching a woman who has never believed in God but is pregnant and feels like there is something more. We are trying to help her recognize that there is something more! That she has a Father in Heaven who cares for her and is wanting to help her!...

Temple...I think yes!

Image
Hello everyone, *Warning: Long email* This week was zone conference and it was all centered around Christ, it was a good reminder that it truly is all about Him. We set a lot of goals to become better and to improve, and I was starting to lose my focus, but it truly is all centered around Christ. And what it comes down to is if you feel the spirit then you are doing good, if you don't feel the spirit then get to the point where you can feel, listen, and recognize the spirit, that is my invitation to you. We were able to go Redlands to the temple after zone conference too! Judy and Donna both decided to be baptized proxy for their moms. The spirit was so strong and they both said they felt that they helped their moms. And now they feel an urgency to help the rest of their family and can't wait to receive more knowledge by receiving their endowments in a year. Norbu is progressing really well and wants to be baptized. He is so funny! Alma is loving reading ...
