Breanna Got Baptized!

Image
This was a good week! Breanna finally got baptized!!!! And guess what... Sister Rasmuson and I were the witnesses! What a legendary opportunity. Also yesterday we got the news that Sister Rasmuson and I are both staying in the Maple Ward for another transfer! So I will literally be here forever, but this is a good place to be.  We saw so many miracles this week like yesterday 5 people were able to come to church and everyone we are teaching right now is progressing. The work of the Lord is so great. Honestly, I have loved my mission so much. The people I have met I really have come to love and have seen a glimpse of how God sees them.  This gospel is for everyone! Like your next door neighbor, the random grocery store clerk, and the police officer, as well as the robber. Like everyone needs to hear it! God is so good and loves all his children, he has provided a way for us to communicate with him and for him to communicate with us. He cares, he liste...

Talofa! I hope you are having a great week. Breanna gets baptized tomorrow so we are excited for that. Also, we started teaching the Hernandez family! Finally!!!   Hermana Jensen, my partner in crime. The Hillmans also made the decision to be baptized in November, after about 5 years. So that's exciting. the Hillmans Rhonda also decided it's about time to be baptized as well, she has been taking the lessons for about 20 years too. It has been a week of miracles that's for sure. People are amazing here. The Hesperia zone It is the last week of the transfer, so we will find out transfers next Sunday. We will see what happens. We haven't had much time for dinner lately... so the other day we had to go to McDonald's before going home. So that's a good sign! Late night happy meals.  I love the people here! God truly does have a plan for me, you, and everyone else too! We are instruments in Gods hands, always be in tune with the s...

Hey everyone! Exchanges This weekend Jesus Christ spoke to us through the amazing men He has called to be His apostles and prophet. I testify that this is Christ's restored church, that He leads it and that He is unchanging! I am so grateful to be a missionary for my Savior, Jesus Christ. It was another week full of miracles! Yesterday we were knocking on doors, and a little old man answered and right away in broken english he told us to come in and that he and his wife need missionaries. So we went in and met him and his cute wife. They were hard of hearing and spoke mainly Spanish, so communicating with them was a little hard, but with what little Spanish I knew we were able to pray with them. They shared some amazing experiences with us of what God has done for them. It was a tender mercy for sure, after a long day. We had puppies crawling all over us during General Conference. Oh my heart:) God prepares His children through small and simple means. You never kno...

Honestly, I don't remember what happened this week, but it was a good one. There was a family we have been working with and yesterday the 10-year old went up to bear his testimony, and it was probably one of the most rewarding things ever! I was so proud of him! He talked about holding onto the iron rod, and how when we CPR (church, pray, read) we are clinging to the rod. He explained that he was only praying, not going to church or reading and how he didn't feel as happy. but when he made that change and started doing all three he feels so much more peace and joy. It was awesome! Good 'ol Joshua Jones Alba :). We had more meetings this week, and will have more next week too... But we are keeping busy. Breanna came to church yesterday all by herself!!!!!!! Which was a huge step for her! She is so excited to be baptized in two weeks. Crestline Felipe, a guy who just walked into church last week, came yesterday as well and we started teaching him. He was so...

Bye Sister Houston! So life is nuts, but it's good. Honestly dont know what happened these passed weeks but I got a new companion! She is super cool and from Saratoga springs. My new comp Sister Rasmuson We have been super busy and having quite a few lessons. We were able to go to the temple too! The temple is such a great place! It really is the house of the Lord! We have a lot of goals for this next transfer and I am excited to get them done, even though it is only like 5 weeks. The Book of Mormon is a focus right now in our mission, because it is so powerful! It is the physical evidence we have that God loves all His children, this is one of the many ways we can learn of Gods plan and will for us. Please study it! It is the best book ever! I promise as you do that you will recieve answers to your prayers and that you will be able to strengthen your relationship with your Savior, Jesus Christ. The church is true so choose the right! -Sister Johns...
