I stepped on an ant hill round 9762

What is up everyone?? I hope you are all thriving. We sure would be if it weren't for all the ants... so I guess a problem with being in the desert is that it is literally just a bunch of dirt and on a bunch of dirt you have a bunch of ant hills and I keep stepping on them! Which was fine till the fire ants came out and started biting me! I always thought people were just being dramatic about those bites, but it burns! I never want to forget this street :) ????? But we doing good. A while ago we were knocking on doors and were able to teach the restoration to this couple and gave them a Book of Mormon and they said they would read it. We stopped by to see how that went and they let us in immediately and started asking us a bunch of questions about the Book. They had already read till chapter 7! It was great. They are so excited to keep learning. We have been working hard and Austin still wants to be baptized so we'll let you know when that happens. The wise Sister ...

The Crazy Week!

Hey everyone! Service: building a shelter thingy We are living the good life here in Hesperia, California. We are keeping busy and working hard. Some super weird things have happened as well... like just teaching the normal crazy desert people. Love being in the middle of nowhere... I have been working a lot on patience this week and trying to be more Christ like every day.... it's been rough. Austin and Jose both accepted a baptismal date this week. They are super excited and the spirit was so strong as they learned of the importance of baptism by immersion by the proper priesthood authority. I went on an exchange with Sister Eastman this week as well and learned a lot from her! Choose the right everyone! There is no better way to go! -Sister Johnson

The BOM

Hey ya'll! Life is good. This week some more people came to church. It's been a weird week though, full of meetings and using a bunch of miles to drive to the new part of the mission. Driving to a 10 hour meeting Elder Kliebengot came to the mission again and taught us a bunch of memory tricks. He also told us about the importance of the Book of Mormon, which we already knew hopefully. But it was definitely reemphasized. And how when we share the Book of Mormon with others it is vital to bare testimony and relate to the book rather than just stating the facts of what the book is. Jamba Juice Stop I just want to testify that I know the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ. That it tells us how we can find peace and happiness that lasts for literally ever in this life. As we read it we gain a better understanding of the greater plan that God has for us, it is so great that we can't even comprehend it all! I know this to be true because...

Maple Round 2

This week was super long, due to it being a 7 week transfer. But we got the news that both Sister Houston and I are staying in Hesperia, we are pumped for another 6 weeks. The Zone The people we are teaching are doing great! I love them all so much and they are all progressing beautifully! This week I have really been studying sacrifice. There is a quote from President Monson that says "The greatest decision I ever made in my life was to give up something I dearly loved to the God I loved even more. He has never forgotten me for it". What are you willing to sacrifice for God? I definitely have so much to sacrifice, but one thing at a time is needed. When we sacrifice things for God we receive more blessings than the sacrifice required! President Mckinnon giving popsicles.   The church is true so choose the right! -Sister Johnson  RIP Elder Hilton The desert... literally this is what we tracted and there was nothing. More desert ZLC ...
