So this week I was with my companion 2 days... it has been nuts! But it has been a great week for miracles.  In Wrightwood with Sister Pitcher, my cuz. Felipe went to the temple on Tuesday! And I ended up in Wrightwood back with Sis. Pitcher.  The Taco Wednesday was Exchanges with Sister Richardson, the legend. Thursday we were inside all day planning the week out. Friday we had an STL meeting down the hill and I got to drive the Tacoma down! Woohoo!  Exchanges Saturday Sister Eastman and I got to go back to Ontario to watch Noemy get baptized!!! Now hopefully everything will go back to normal :). As you can tell by these pictures it had been a windy hot week. I don't do well in the heat, but somehow God has helped me get the things that I need to done.  My man, Larry One of the miracles we saw was that Damion accepted a baptismal invitation! He is so open minded. And the crazy thing is that he is Austin's next door neighbor, who i...

I think she was in a hurry for this one... This week flew by! We saw a lot of miracles. We also had interviews with our mission president, it was great to get to know them and I am excited to work with them. The work is going great too! She found Elder Smethurst whom went to the same high school! We have been so busy and doing a lot of teaching! I went on two Exchanges and forgot to take pictures, whoops. I'll do better next week.  Someone gave me avocado ice cream:) Sorry I don't know what happened this week. But the church is very true, there is so much urgency in the work. And God truly does live each one of us. Pretty blue sky I love you all! -Sister J

52 weeks down!

Hey ya'll! So I have officially become an old missionary, I definitely don't feel like one. So I have learned that you never really get the hang of missionary work. That was kind of disappointing to figure out. But we had so many miracles this week! God put people in our path that we were able to testify to about how much God loves them. They recognized it as an answer to prayer and even accepted a Book of Mormon. We will be going back this week to read it with them!  The tag:) This ward is amazing and so willing to help out! We were able to teach a lot of lessons and the people we are working with are progressing smoothly! Sister Houston I went on Exchanges with Sis. Ho'ching and she is amazing! She us Samoan so we handed over the holy traditions ;). On every exchange I go on I learn so many things from these amazing sisters! Sister Ho'ching Also, so many people were at church on Sunday! Almost every less active we are working with as well and non...

And the Earth Shook

Hey ya'lll hope you are doing well. We had a pretty eventful week, and yes there were some pretty legit earthquakes.  Happy Independence Day!   The first one, on the fourth, we were doing service, so we were in the middle of a dirt field and the ground was shaking.  The second one we were in a members home having a lesson with them. That was a little scarier die to being a a shaking house where things started falling. Exchanges with Sis.Umphress But a miracle this week: we taught Leo! And God's hand was definitely in the timing. We were able to reach him the restoration and even better- his girlfriend was there and we are now teaching her as well and they want to be baptized! They just need to come to church... We played a Heydorn version of settlers today and it was so fun! Family I need to show it to you 1 Hope you all had a great week! Choose the right! - Sister Johnson

San Bernardino Mission here we come!

Image
Hey ya'll, so life is good. I was able to meet the mission President this week at a leadership conference, which was weird, but it was good. Lots of changes to come that's for sure. STLs and President McKinnon, new mission president of the San Bernardino Mission So this week we did a lot of contacting and finding, trying to strengthen our teaching pool. To find people who are prepared it is so necessary to follow the spirit right? So that's what we did our best at doing. And guess what! We have about 2-3 appointments scheduled for each day! (That's a lot for this area). So we are excited to be teaching. Me and Sister Houston We are working hard, but not quite hard enough either. District Unity I am excited for these changes because I know God is in charge. Learning to trust Him is a little difficult but it is definitely a process. Life is good. The church is true, so choose the right! -Sister Johnson Pretty skies
