Merry Christmas Eve!

Image
I hope you are all having happy holidays! Christmas in SoCal isn't as pretty but the spirit is the same. We talked to so many open people and everyone is so kind.  I hope you all enjoyed invitation Sunday and were able to invite someone. Our chapel was full! The members invited so many people and we got to meet so many new people! There is definitely a different spirit this time of year. I love it! Christmas really is all about our Savior, keep it focused on Him and remember the life He lived,  and the perfect example which he is to us. Sister Newell and I have been keeping busy. We now volunteer at the food bank weekly, and started teaching some amazing people!  I love you all so much! And remember to light your faith this week! -Sister Johnson

Light Your Family

What is up?? I hope you are all having a great life, because life is not only to be endured but also enjoyed! This week with light the world is light your family. How will you light your family? I encourage you all to think of a way you can make your family closer together and to the savior. Whether it is by calling a family member you haven't spoken to in a while or by serving a family member in secret. Pray and think of a way to help your family this season! You are all amazing and are great examples to me! Remember to keep Christ in Christmas this season! This holiday should be centered around Him. How are you coming to know Him more this year? Let me know your ideas! We are trying to help the members of this ward light their families as well so so we need lots of ideas! I love you all! -Sister Johnson P.S So sorry we forgot to take pictures this week but here is a picture of a bird I almost stepped on :)

Light Your Community

Hey fam!  There were lots of miracles this week. Like the stake has this nativity play thingy so we have been non stop inviting people and so many people showed up! The spirit was strong and we got to meet lots of cool people! I love this time of year and the opportunity we have to share the gospel with others! Especially during Christmas, when we celebrate the birth of our savior! It is a new week by the way, so go out and help your community! Go serve a neighbor, help everyone you see smile, and make a new friend! Also here is a pretty rainbow cause it rained non stop the other day :) And guess what... I had Jamba Juice for the first time on my mission! It was heavenly! I love you all so much and this gospel is so true so chose the right! -Sister Johnson Short and sweet without hardly any photos this week:( But she did send this little tidbit as well... My companion is Sister Newell and she is amazing! She if from Bountiful, Utah and is such a hard worke...

Wrightwood and the Plan of Happiness

Image
Exchanges with Hermana Flake. It snowed! What a good last week it was in Wrightwood! Good news: We taught a lot of people this week and had a lot of great lessons, the spirit was so strong! A day of service, quilting guild. Transfer calls came, I am now serving in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. I am sad to say good bye to Wrightwood and the mountains but I know that this is where I am supposed to be. Goodbye Wrightwood! I just want to testify, to my family especially, that I know that our Father in Heaven knows us and He takes care of us. He wants us to be happy so He has provided the plan of happiness for us. For you and for me. It is for His children, which is literally everyone.  I want to share this quick experience: We taught the Plan of Salvation twice yesterday, which never happens in one week, let alone a day! And one of the people we are teaching talked about her mother who just passed away so we tried to mainly focused on the after life an...
