Judy got baptized!

Image
Heyo! I hope you all have had a splendid week. Sister Newell and I had the amazing chance to go back to Wrightwood, my first area, and support Judy in making covenants with God by being baptized. Right when she got out of the water she said she felt so pure. She said every burden she felt was gone. It was amazing! It was a rainy week as well, which was super fun! Yesterday was stake conference and it was all focused on the youth of today. And how we need to get them excited to go to the temple and do family history. Because it is so important! I love the people who I have met here. We met a guy named Larry who is having a hard time right now because his mom is going through Chemo. He was talking with his family about how they don't know the result of chemo. They don't know where she will go or what will happen. So Sister Newell and I were able to testify and teach the Plan of Happiness. How we know exactly where we came from, where we are going, and why w...

It has been a week full of miracles! Yesterday Angel brought her entire family to church! So that was exciting and she is progressing really well. We are excited for her to be baptized in two weeks. I have been trying to do better at being bold, and guess what?? We were able to teach the restoration of the gospel so many times on the door steps while knocking on doors. Wearing pants Yesterday we were talked to the 7 year olds in the ward about baptism! And it was so fun! They are so excited to be baptized. Baptism is such an important decision! It is a step we make to show our commitment to our Father in Heaven, and because He loves us He blesses us with the Gift of the Holy Ghost when we are baptized. I am so grateful for that gift, it has helped me so much throughout my life! Today was transfers and Sister Newell and I will be staying here in the Redhill ward in the city. Wish me luck! I hope you all have had a great week! Ninja in pants The church is tru...

The good life!

Hey Fam! Yes the mission boundaries are changing in July, Yes I bought slacks today and will be wearing them this week. Yes I am going to be the best aunt ever in June. And Yes it is finally 2019 I hope you all had a great week! I sure did. We received the news that we get to go back to Wrightwood, because Judy is getting baptized!!! We were also able to have some amazing lessons with Angel and Michael who are still progressing towards baptism in a few weeks! Some miracles is that lots of part member families came to church yesterday!!! So hopefully we can start working with them this week. I love the people I am serving. I love the opportunity I have to serve. You are all great examples to me and thanks for all that you do! I am so grateful for this gospel, and the guidance we receive from the bible and the Book of Mormon, but not only that... We have a latter day prophet as well! God has provided us with so many resources to return home to Him, as well as help other...

Kilisimasi fiefia 🌲

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! And were able to finish the Book of Mormon this week. I was! The Book of Mormon truly is the word of God. It testifies of Christ and works hand in hand with the Bible to do so.  Christmas Jammies! President Nelson gave the challenge to do 4 things (I can't remember them all so look them up). One of them was to do a social media fast, and another was go read the Book of Mormon and go to the temple. We did this as missionaries and we pondered with the ward afterwards. We discussed how we really do have time to read the Book of Mormon and how we have time to go to the temple, but we don't necessarily make it a priority. The time is there, but what we are doing during that time may not be as important. So make it a priority! Yay! Kilisimasi fiefia!!! Also I'm going to be an aunt so that's cool! The church is true so choose the right! Ofa otu! -Sister Johnson
