My mission president is so nice! And he is from Cache Valley! So he told me I need to represent the valley well... No pressure. But I also met my trainer, Sister Kerby, she is the best person ever!

My first full day here was super hard, we went contacting and tracting and I have never felt so rejected. I had prayed for these people and was trying to help them come closer to Christ, or even just help with yard work and they were so mean. And I kept thinking what did I do to deserve this? But when we got home and moped about it a little that night I read the scriptures, and it was quite the humbling reminder I needed that Christ was rejected too. He did nothing but love others and people rejected Him. It is hard to think of that but I know that as I depend on Christ He can help me through this.
The next day was way better! We met so many nice people and like literally everyone wanted to give us food and water and talk with us! We made so many appointments for the next day to come back and do service! It was awesome! My faith in humanity was restored!
It was nice to meet new people. And Wrightwood is amazing! There are 3 parts to this mission, the City, the dessert, and the mountains. There are only two areas in the mountains, and only one set of missionaries in each place. And I get to be one of them! Literally Wrightwood is like the Jackson Hole of California, but it is a lot smaller, and not as exciting, but there is a ski resort! Rumor has it too that when there isn't any smog or smoke from fires that you can see the ocean from certain areas. So hopefully when it rains we will see it :).
Speaking of rain... Every old lady that we have done service for (about 4) have had us do a rain dance with them before we leave, so that's exciting. But hopefully it will work.
Anyway on Sunday I was publicly invited to share my testimony with the ward, which was kind of embarrassing cause I didn't hear it and so everyone was staring at me, but that's cool. Note to self: Pay attention when new to the ward.
